ABOUT THE COMPETITION

On the 17th of February our lines went slack. We lost a brother, a son, a fiancee, a best friend, and a dam good fisherman.
 
Joshua Tingey, at 28 years young, had a tragic paragliding accident on Mauao. To honour his life and love for fishing we created a fishing competition in his name to raise funds for youth in the Bay of Plenty community.  On the 24th of March 2023 we will run the competition for the fifth year. Last year we had 140 anglers and raised over $9500.
